What is in the test
Part Questions True, false or cannot say, on three short passages 12 Word relationships (analogies, opposites, closest meaning, odd one out, sentence completion) 8
The passage questions have three options. The word questions have five.
How the passage questions work. Judge each statement using only the passage, not what you already know. Choose True if the passage says it or it must follow. Choose False if the passage says the opposite or rules it out. Choose Cannot say if the passage does not give enough to decide. The passages describe made-up places and groups, so outside knowledge cannot help.
How to use the explanations
After each question, read the explanation, then the line on each wrong answer. Most wrong options come from one common slip. Spotting your own slip is the most useful part of practice. Each question also has a short skill note saying what it practices.
