Which employer test am I taking?

Short answer: look at your invite email and the platform name on the test page. The employer chooses the test, not the test owner, and many tests share similar formats. If you cannot tell, ask the recruiter. We do not ask for uploads or personal details here.

Look at your invite

Write down:

  • The sender and platform name. Names you may see include SHL, Criteria, Pearson TalentLens, Saville, Wonderlic, Korn Ferry, Hogan, Caliper and Predictive Index.
  • Test names in the email or on the first page.
  • The time limit and the number of sections.
  • The type: reasoning questions, a personality questionnaire, a game, or a video.
  • The deadline.

If your invite says…

These matches use only what the owner publishes. Several tests share a format, so confirm with the platform name.

If your invite names Hogan, Korn Ferry or Saville, see Hogan, Korn Ferry or Saville.

If you cannot tell

Ask the recruiter. A short message works:

Hi, thanks for the invitation. Could you tell me the name of the assessment, roughly how long it takes, and whether there is an official practice test? Thank you.

Do not pay for prep until you know the test. Free practice from the test owner is the best first step. See free vs paid prep.

An employer name does not tell you the test

The same employer can use different tests by role and country. Processes differ by country and role. Check your invite.

FAQ

Does the test owner pick the test? No. The employer chooses which test to send.

Can I find out the questions in advance? No. Use the owner’s practice material to learn the format. See the guide for your test.

What if my invite names no test? Ask the recruiter.
