About this practice set
The real CCAT is Criteria’s test of problem solving and learning. Criteria says it has 50 questions and gives you 15 minutes, with no calculator (from the owner, read October 17, 2026). It says less than 1% of candidates answer all 50, so finishing is not the aim. Criteria also tells you to make an educated guess and move on if you have spent more than a minute on one question.
That works out to about 18 seconds a question on average. (900 seconds divided by 50. Prepti’s arithmetic, not a Criteria figure.)
Each session serves 50 questions, drawn from our bank of 120 original questions written by Prepti, in four groups: word meaning, simple arithmetic, logic, and shapes or patterns. Criteria describes three kinds of questions in the real test: verbal, math and logic, and spatial reasoning. Our four groups are our own way to split practice, so your results table shows a raw count for each group.
Timed mode copies the real clock: 50 questions, 15 minutes. Learn mode has no clock and shows a short explanation after each question. For what Criteria says about the real test, read our CCAT test prep guide. Your invitation is the final word on the test you will take.

Choose a mode
Timed (50 questions, 15 minutes). The clock starts when you press Start. Move on if a question takes too long. You can go back, skip and change answers until time runs out or you finish. When time ends, your answers so far are kept and you go straight to your results.
Learn (untimed). Same 50 questions with no clock. Press Check answer on any question to see whether you were right and a short explanation of the method. Then press Next. Use this mode to find out why an answer works.
Choose how to practice
You can go back before finishing. No auto-advance. Practice progress and your last result are saved on this browser only, for up to 30 days. Once you have saved progress, a Clear practice data button removes them.
Your results
You will see how many you answered correctly, how many you skipped and how long you took. You will also see raw counts for each type of question. There is no pass or fail. This is practice, not a prediction. You can review every question with its explanation, and retry with a different set of 50.
Your data
Your progress and your last result are saved only in your browser, on this device, for 30 days. After that they expire. You can clear them with the Clear practice data button, which appears once you have saved progress. We do not ask for an email address.
FAQ
Is this the real CCAT?
No. It is unofficial, written by Prepti and not affiliated with Criteria. The questions are original.
Will it predict my real score?
No. A practice set cannot tell you how you will do on a real test.
Can I try again?
Yes. Each attempt draws a different set of 50 questions from our bank, so a retry will not be identical.
How are the questions chosen?
Each of our sets has a fixed mix we chose: 20 word questions, 10 number questions, 8 logic questions and 12 shape or pattern questions, ordered from easier to harder.
Do you save my data?
Only in your own browser, for 30 days. See Your data above.
What should I do next?
Read the CCAT test prep guide, then try our guides to verbal, numerical and logical reasoning tests.
Untimed sample questions
These work without JavaScript. Open a question to see the answer and explanation. They are not part of the timed set, and nothing here is scored.
Sample 1: Which word is closest in meaning to AMBIGUOUS?
- unclear
- expensive
- certain
- polite
Answer: A. Ambiguous means open to more than one meaning, so unclear is closest. Certain is the opposite idea.
Sample 2: Three eighths of the staff in an office work from home. 33 staff work from home. How many staff does the office have?
- 44
- 77
- 99
- 88
Answer: D. Three eighths is 33 staff, so one eighth is 33 / 3 = 11. The whole office is 8 x 11 = 88. 99 is 33 x 3; 44 and 77 are 4 and 7 eighths.
Sample 3: All the volunteers wear green badges. Some people with green badges are also guides. Which statement must be true?
- Every guide is a volunteer.
- Some volunteers may be guides.
- No guide is a volunteer.
- Every person with a green badge is a volunteer.
Answer: B. Every volunteer has a green badge, and some badge-wearers are guides, so it is possible that some volunteers are guides. Nothing says every guide is a volunteer or that only volunteers wear green badges, so A and D do not have to be true. C is not supported.
